The scapholunate ligament is one of the most important for the wrist function and stability. It connects two little bones (the scaphoid and the lunate) who play a fundamental role in wrist movements.
Its lesion might occur for a direct trauma or for hyperextension or flexion of the wrist.
Diagnosis is not easy; there 4 different degrees of lesion and especially in the first ones there is a misdiagnosis leading to clinical situations in which is difficult to restore the normal function.
